Interested in talking with us
Jalaja presented a carefully planned and wonderfully executed session for the girls of our Computer Vidyashalae, run by Apsa jointly with the YWCA of Bangalore City. She took them on the complete circle from applying for a job, to interviews and to resume writing.
I used the word wonderfully executed, as she succeeded in bringing it to their level with excellent interaction. These young girls are from the marginalised section of society, mostly first generation literates who live in and around Koramangala’s informal urban settlements (slums)
She livened it up and made the learning complete with Role play sessions involving the whole class, and reviews of interesting videos of interviews, rounding it off with feedback. They greatly benefitted from the session and are now ready to face interviews and soar…
